Mark is the Founder and CEO of The SPACE-2 Group. The Group consists of a range of businesses with commercial property as its focus but now covers everything from film & TV & event locations (SPACE-2) and prop hire (Revival) to rural coworking (MyCRO™), B2B marketing suites (BrandHub™) and start-up digital agency, Moncoe.

A law graduate with distinctly entrepreneurial tendencies, Mark’s early business experiences at Exeter University involved Dj’ing, club promotions and charity fundraising. Following his move to London, Mark started his career working for commercial conference companies before joining tech PR firm, Firefly Communications, roles that gave him experience of the defence, finance and technology industries. Then a chance meeting found Mark joining the UK’s largest commercial property company, Land Securities, where he set-up SPACE-2 as the in-house commercialisation service generating income from vacant properties. Mark left Land Securities in 2006 taking the SPACE-2 brand with him and with property partners such as BT Plc supporting his new venture, Mark oversaw the year-on-year growth (11 years consecutive) of the UK’s leading creative property group. By spotting gaps in the various sectors that SPACE-2 works in – property, media production, events – and developing business models and initiatives to fill them, Mark’s focus on innovative temporary and interim use of space across the UK has enabled SPACE-2 to become an award-winning, multi-million turnover business employing 26 people UK-wide. SPACE-2 is also now the UK’s leading provider of temporary production space and managed locations for the film and TV industry.

He is a regular speaker at industry seminars and has a keen interest in developing services and internships that meet the needs of local micro businesses and entrepreneurs.
